European here with CFW

I have a question, assuming the cia's of Sun/Moon are region free like X and Y and OR AS, is it possible to use SaveDataFiler to transfer my save file from a digital US version to a physical European version? The title ID is the same across all regions right? So it should work right? I want to buy the physical cartridge when it comes out but fuck waiting five days, I want to just make as much progress as I can and then transfer shit over when SM comes out over here.
