rowtowl's second stage will keep it's head sideways. it's final evolution will have it's head upside down. the bowtie will become angry looking eyebrows.

it has "rotate" in it's name and being able to turn their heads is one of the main features of owls. i have always been surprised they didn't do this with noctowl.

The point is, you can see a much straighter path from Cyndaquil to Typhlosion than you could seeing Oshawott to Samurott

yeah, i meant starters. they have 3 fire fighting, 1 grass fighting and no water fighting, a seal that balances a ball on it's nose just seems like something that could easily be water/fighting but then again, so does a samurai or ninja. could be psychic and levitate the ball or a ball could not be involved at all. i wouldn't mind a fighting seal that can balance cars and shit on it's nose though.
