I'm obviously much more fond of the shinies I caught myself, and they're still the majority in my living dex, but it definitely wears you out trying to do it all by yourself.
Even shinies from people who I know breed their own don't have any guarantee of being legit, from my perspective, so I don't worry about it too much.
If I cared about proving to the world my quest was legit I'd be recording or registering the entire ordeal. By the time the dex is completed I won't even know which is which anyway, but I still try not to overdo it.

Guys i got a question.
Since it´ll be a few months till Sun/Moon, i was thinking about getting X, since i skipped from Black/White to OrAs.
Can i transfer all pokemon via pokemon Bank onto X?
What about items like megastones?

i mean, it seems like OrAs and XY are kinda on the same page if you look at stuff to do, pokemon and so on.

Bank cannot hold items however. But all Mega Stones are available in ORAS and can be found during the main story or post Groudon/Kyogre

ORAS exclusive Megas and their respective Mega Stones aren't in XY. Absolite, Gardevoirite and Garchompite are in XY however
I wouldn't recommend switching to XY since it technically has less content than ORAS
