You answered yourself. Get accustomed to how the player plays and punish accordingly. Stick to 1 character and practice on training mode since it's where you will discover nearly everything your character can do.

I feel like CADC is a meme at this point since it really can't get you out of most situations and it's really is to adapt to if the other player uses it.

I feel that people rank up with cheap tactics, just fought a laggy A4 rank Blaziken who just spammed Blaze kick and Brave Bird. Although, they're pretty easy to beat when you can just abuse a move with armor.

She's the worst out of the 4 dedicated zoners. Has no punish game to speak of, her Burst Attack sucks and she gets outzoned by some non-zoner characters because her projectiles are just that weak. For example, Lucario's Aura Sphere beats ALL of her projectiles except for the full screen Fire Blast and the mini Fire Blast with a big Sunny Day up.

I was under the impression that Braixen was more of a close up fighter with some zoning tools. Her boomerang comes out very fast, and can be followed with another attack or a grab should it connect, she has three anti-airs with her flamethrower/firecracker/b.Y attack, and has a forward/back airdash plus j.Y/firecracker to mix up her opponents. She also has a great j.X that can even be delayed to pressure/set-up for combos.

That being said, where would you put Braixen tier-wise.

Every time I look at this game I just stare at those four empty slots in disappointment and regret. It truly and deeply stings me to my very most private depths. I absolutely love the game, and even characters I was bored with before release, I have tons of fun playing as now.

I just can't accept this lack of DLC. They HAVE to be planning something. Four more characters would make ALL the difference in the world, I do not care who they add. They can't just leave it like this....r-right?

There are no truly "bad" characters in this game so even if I think that other ranged characters are generally better, Braixen is still perfectly playable.

Pikachu is primarily bipedal, with a semi-prehensile tail, so making multiple movesets is easy, especially seeing ashow Libre had a theme to work with, but quadrupedal Pokemon would be a lot harder to work with.
Notice how Suicune is mostly projectiles and asstail hits?
Not an easy job and Absol would have to almost exclusively be head-blade attacks.

Why the fuck do people (including the developers of this game) seem to think this? It is NOT difficult, by ANY stretch of the imagination, to create a moveset using not only the head-blade, but headbutts, claw attacks, tackles, and alllllll fucking kinds of elemental darkness shit.

If Chandelure of all things can have a unique moveset as the game's fourth fucking fire type, I'm positive that any Pokémon could be added.

Chandelure can have a unique moveset because it's a unique Pokemon.
It's not as though all 4 fire types have to play exactly the same because they share the same type and to suggest so is absurd.

Yes, Chandelure is unique and shows that the devs were thinking outside the box, but it doesn't mean that they can suddenly overcome their issues with Absol.
Maybe they made it, but was probably boring.

The issue with sceptile is that not only are his combos execution heavy compared to the rest, it's also that accidentally dropping them lets most characters do a free combo in retaliation so getting them down is nearly necessary if you want safe and reliable damage.

Nothing. It's shadow mewtwo. It's the literal equivalent of picking an old school snk boss. The best advice I can give is beat them down before they get initiative, and learn what few gaps he has by labbing him yourself a bit.

He's not broken since the infinite is gone but he's still one of best and heaviest hitters in the game and has very few downsides besides health, which is almost a blessing in disguise.

If my super is a counter, can I use it to counter against people's normal offensive supers?

IE: I play weavile, am fighting against a lucario. He uses his super, I use mine right before he hits me with it. Will I catch him with mine?

I tried this on a blaziken last match and mine got stuffed but I think it may have just been the exact timing in question, he caught me right as I hit the buttons

Yes, the second super always wins. If its a critical it's minor bonus damage. I wouldn't try to time it though, as soon as you see the animation start just mash yours out to stuff it. The only time that's a bad idea is with grab supers like gengar and mewtwo.
