Last time was the Beartic line, today will be about the living snowflake Pokemon Cryogonal.
My thoughts: None really. I never used one and I'm pretty indifferent to its design.
I don't know why this is never brought up when people talk about bad pokemon designs, it's just so.... forgettable. (maybe why it's not brought up)
I really like this thing can someone blame me?

It's not one of my favorites, but I've been fond of the thing ever since I read this.
If it didn't have Levitate I'd give it Cute Charm.
Are the ice balls things suppose to be a mushace? Why does it only have 4 in the artwork

It represents a frown face
>>26176636
I liked it as an in-game pokemon.

They're chains of ice. They blink on and off but they're normally extended.
>>26176636
It's a Ice glass cannon, so i like it more than any "bulky" Ice types.
Pretty cool design, it's fun to use in game.
>>26176636
>Pure ice type.
>Actually decent 105 speed, could stand to be slightly better.
>95 in Special Attack and 135 in Special-Defense
Fuck you Game Freak.
>Single-stage Snowflake Pokemon.
>Doesn't have a Spinda-esque gimmick of having a whole bunch of slight variations in its design.
>>26176768
I wouldn't necessarily call it a glass cannon with just 95 Sp. Atk. 135 Sp. Def definitely makes it seem like they were intending for it to be defensive, but it also has 70 base HP so I kind of just chalk it up to GF doesn't really know how to design Ice types anymore.
>>26176636
It's the only pokémon design I outright hate. And I don't use that word lightly.
>>26176801
>GF doesn't really know how to design Ice types anymore.
>Implying they've ever known how to design ice types and that the couple that are actually usable at higher levels of play weren't just flukes.
>>26176636
I really, really, really, really love its design. One of my favorites from Gen 5, and that's saying something. Too bad he suffers from the illness known as "being an Ice Type". For a Pokemon shaped like a shield, it goes down in one shot to just about everything. It's attacks aren't that great either and it's ability is doesn't add much new, although the immunity is nice. Poor thing never had anything going for it.
>>26176695
Even the fanart mocks it.
>>26176842
Beartic used have a niche on rain teams though.
>>26176842
You're probably right.
>>26176636
I love it. It surprisingly carried my in-game Black team after learning Ice Beam. Outsped and OHKO'd everything I threw it at except Ghetsis's Hydreigon (whose Fire Blast missed kek).
I wish they'd swap its offenses and defenses.
>>26176863
While it does lack coverage, it's great at throwing out stab Ice Beam, and 125 Sp.D actually lets it switch in against neutral special attackers.
It's only really usable moves are ice beam, flash cannon, signal beam, protect, and maybe freeze dry if you're feeling silly.
A retarded mon for retarded users

Found the Red-themed fag I sweeped with Cryogonal last night.
At least Cryogonal looks nice in 3D with the lighting reflecting off all the flat surfaces on it.
It has a cool shiny.
Greay design. Great type. Ability goes along with the design
>>26176636
>95 Sp. Attack compared to 50 Attack
>135 Sp. Def compared to 30 Def
>Genderless
>Can still learn Attract
>mfw I realized Cryogonal is literally a special snowflake
I like the colors I guess? Really this is a forgettable Pokemon and I'm indifferent about it
For a limbless chunk of ice with no egg moves, it gets a fairly interesting movepool. Light-related moves because it's mirrorlike. Recover. Rapid Spin with Levitate is neat. Too bad it can't really take advantage of this thanks to its Def + Ice-type.
>>26177539
>Glowing orange core
Ice/Fire mega when?I don't care if that typing would make it worse, I just badly want an Ice/Fire
Poor snowflake will never be loved ;_;
>>26177838
It gets thunderfucked by rocks, but other than it's actually better. More resistances, and Levitate covers the new Ground weakness.
>>26176636
It's honestly one of the weirdest pokemon designs I've seen but I don't really mind it.
