Identity Thief: Steals one of the opponents typings
> when either you or opponent switch in it takes one of their typings and gives it to you, it randomly chooses which one
> If one of their types is the same as yours itll pick the other one
> has no effect on monotypes
> Is in effect for the rest of the battle
Obv this would be an ability for a monotype pokemon. Imo itd be interesting especially since some opponents would actually benefit from losing a type.
Who would this ability benefit the most?

It'd be a risky ability due to the luck factor and vast amount of Pokemon in the game. It'd work best on a defensive Pokemon. Overall so/so, but hats off to you for thinking up something that's actually pretty cool.
I feel it'd work best as a switch in to battle a hyperoffensive mon.
Itd have to be a dark type ability

How about a Copycat ability?

>take a Close Combat to the face and survive
>opponents defenses get lowered
hmm
but for an offensive mon it could work if it were the other way. you can't boost obviously, but so can't contrary serperior and it is OU
