Battle of Hoenn was the first competition for ORAS, Kanto Classic came out the same month RBY were released for Eshop.

Anyone remember the Kanto Classic? Well here comes the next installment, the Johto Classic!

>This competition is a Single Battle competition and allows for you to use any Pokémon in the Pokédex from #001 up to #251 excluding Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh and Celebi. Pokémon are lowered to Level 50 and you cannot have any Mega Stones. You can play up to 15 matches a day.

Lazy people can just re-use their team from the kanto classic, the main difference here is the number of steel types and the introduction of the dark type.

IT'S LIKE THEY WERE RECREATING ALL THE GAMES WITH THE BATTLE COMPETITIONS! MAYBE EVEN THERE WILL BE A FR/LG COMPETITION only allowing Gen I again but with items, HG/SS Johto Competition again but including Lickilicky, Tangrowth, Ambipon, Yanmega and Mamoswine, which were included on HGSS Dex, AND MAYBE A B/W COMPETITION Gen V only kek
