what corocoro meant: in may there is going to be at one point information. they didn't say: in the next issue. they said the next month. so that can be between 1-31 may. and they called it a huge scoop, not a world shocking announcement. what they did with volcanion.

According to Serebii it actually promised "an announcement the world has been waiting for" in May. The last time they said something like that we had the reveal of Magearna, and at that time they promised "an announcement that will shock the entire world", and it did just that because no one expected Gen 7 so early. So while it is best to keep expectations low with CoroCoro because they might not be the source of this announcement, it doesn't mean we shouldn't expect anything from CoroCoro. If we get this announcement before the issue drops then we know that the issue would contain a recap of that announcement.

This. We were never supposed to know about the Gen 6 event Pokemon but a dataminer just had to spoil everything for us. While they might not have been a surprise for a lot of people that knew about them before they were officially revealed there were still a lot of people that never knew they existed such as people that don't spend all of their time looking for Pokemon news.
