Fairies and fairy attacks are extremely common in the current meta, and a pokemon with a 4x weakness to it will be always in a horrible disadvantage (scrafty suffered the same), adding to it its weakness to fighting and U-turn and it makes it almost be required to run a scarf to not die before dealing damage

This would go a long way but I don't think it'd address the biggest issues. It's main competitors are fairies that switch into it and don't get OHKO'd even by a predicted flash cannon/fire blast. It's never been that speedy dragon that outspeeds everything and sweeps an entire team and I don't think it needs to fill that role. Just make it a hard hitter that's really uncomfortable to swap into.

Thus far, the best answers are that it needs a bit more speed. It doesn't even need a mega, just shift 5 or so Attack or SpD to Speed, and it is golden.

If Megaing, it needs something crazy like +25-30 base Speed. The rest of the Mega Stat boost is largely irrelevant, more SpA is better of course, but extra tankiness could also help.
And please gamefreak, don't pull a Garchomp and give it +40 to its off-attack stat and make it slower.

Give it Mega Launcher. This ability is a perfect fit. Please, Gamefreak, don't pull a Garchomp and give it something useless like Sand Force, Tough Claws, or Justified.

Maybe, (Only maybe) change it to Dark/Steel. I can see why they wouldn't do this, but it is an option.

To make mega worth running over a life orb it'd need like 165+ SPA which is pretty insane along with other increased stats. I really wish levitate pokes could just levitate without that taking their ability slot.
