ASHIMARI! PLACE YOUR BETS, SEAL OR SQUID?

Squid
Water starters have always been the most diverse (2 reptiles, 1 bird, 1 mammal, 1 amphibian, 1 fish/amphibian) so it makes sense it'd be the first to include an invertebrate.

For the record I think it's gonna be seal, the squid idea.comes from the mari in calamari, which is a food. It'd be like a bull pokemon having beef in its name, it's just weird

Also mari could be short for "marine". Ashi can mean both foot and leg. There are a shitton of different ways to interpret the names

I love the squid idea but a deal is cool too. I will absolutely choose it if it's a squid so I'm gonna place a bet on that.
