And yes, making it a handheld game in the first place would've been a better choice considering the fanbase thing I talked about earlier and local multiplayer also being much easier to work around. I guess the current gen Nintendo handheld is still way too weak to handle Pokken. Hence NX might turn out to be the hero we need and deserve.

I can't be the only one who sometimes experiences the game either outright ignoring or delaying an input in a connection that generally feels lagless.

I've lost so many games because of delay, it's irritating. It wouldn't be so bad if the game wasn't so RPS heavy.

What the fuck am I supposed to do against laggy Gardevoirs? They can just push buttons all day and be fine, but I can't even get in. Can't CADC because it'll either start too late or won't cancel properly, and I can't even block because of the delay. It's at the point where I want to turn off the console instead of having my rank fucked over by the shitters, but I can't bring myself to do it.

breathe down the other guy's neck all the time, chomp has no pressure when he's far away. Early in the game I used to throw charged tornados after shifting back to field, it never works because it just gives your opponent breathing room. mixups are your best friend because the last thing you want to do as chomp is be predictable
running stance is 666, which can get a little hard to input perfectly sometimes. you can cancel his 6YY, 5A and 2A into running stance by holding Y/A or pressing R respectively and it'll reset right back into running stance. It won't make you keep running though, if you want to run for longer you need to hold the dpad as well (any direction works)
j]X[ won't go back up if you're low enough to touch the ground at the lowest point
all of chomp's extra hits work off crits, so either use it if you read a grab or use victini

Well, I know very little about Weavile, but I know that he excels at pressure and speed. If possible, try to do single hit jabs into grab setups. If you see an attack coming, use that move where he backsteps and slashes. I know I started getting a lot better when I started using my super defensively instead of offensively. People are scared of the super and will generally turtle up, so don't use it and go for grabs instead. When you know they are gonna get disrespectful and try to attack, then you pop the super and fuck them up. Weavile even has the advantage of draining Synergy, so characters like Gengar and Mewtwo get fucked over extra hard when they get comboed.

Well, I watched some pro players, but the most important thing for me, rather than watching or reading anything, was trying every character.

I have no intent to git gud with every character, but I had a friend of mine play some 2 player with me where we played random.
I must say, it did wonders to know a whole lot more about every other character and how they work, especially having used them.

Well, Gengar is the one I was talking about and he has to work hard for results. Chandelure is easier and avoids a lot of the RPS mechanics since zoning generally bypasses it and has a move that shits all over all options besides counterpierce and block.

Ryu is way more of a shoto than Chandelure or Suicune, but I got what you mean. You aren't a fan of keepaway.

Machamp only needs 2/3 reads to close out a round and has pretty good buttons, but his movement is slow and he suffers really hard against zoners. R. Pika requires a lot more reads, but has stronger options most of the time. She's very momentum based and has a move that can punish options from midscreen and give you a boost....but if you lose momentum, you may find yourself losing quickly.

Lucky for you've i've been doing a lot of combo research with weavile.

- midair x > x > x (night slash) > y, y, y, x, x.... (fury swipes). Note that against small characters the fury swipes will miss and you'lll want to do knock off (foward A) after the last y hit instead, or if you just want to lower their meter. You can also start this just off standing x or night slash
- midair x > x > ice punch > ice punch hit two: Only works at wall, but does more damage then above
- y, y, x, a... (fury swipes): Not as damaging as either of the two but your intial y hit is way easier to connectt with so use this to punish. You can also subisstute the fury swpes with knock off to shave off their meter if you want

that's what I use. The exact amount of damage the fiirst one does depends on where allong the combo you start (night slash vs standng x vs midair x, for example) and how many hits the midair x lands; which can lead to slightly different variations on it doing slightly more damage due to scaling, but on average that's the one that does the most.

Anyway, S.Mewtwo's is health consumption. Some moves are really heavy on it, and if they aren't careful, it means they might die in one shot. But they get synergy like mad from it, and can Burst more often than fucking Pikachu, rendering that pretty moot.

Mewtwo's is synergy consumption, meaning he'll get it about once every three rounds. Which means he's Gengar, except his base form is still pretty damn strong.
