I obviously didn't care about type diversity back then. As for my last one, I have no fucking idea at all. It was probably a Water type, though.

I know it definitely involved Blastoise and Ninetails. Nidoqueen, Pidgeot and Onix were all very, very likely on the team. The last spot was probably one of Omastar, Hitmonchan, Aerodactyl, Snorlax or Mewtwo.

I barely remember my Gen 5 team, let alone anything before that. It doesn't help my memory that I played most gens more than once.

Crystal: Typhlosion, just him (and HM slaves I guess)

Ruby: Sceptile, same deal
(I remember playing Emerald too, I think I picked Swampert thas time)

Diamond: I played it at least two times, and between them I've used Torterra, Staraptor, Luxray, Pikachu, Honchkrow, Rapidash, and I don't remember the rest.

Platinum: Roserade, Luxray, Togekiss, Flareon, Lucario, Milotic. First team I thought of first. I didn't realize the similarities with Cynthia's team until later

Soul Silver: Meganium, Ampharos, Crobat, Heracross, Flareon, Lapras. Yep, I picked Flareon twice, I'm kinda ashamed of it.

White: Serperior, Simipour->Swanna, Zoroark, Eelektross->Zekrom, Chandelure->Volcarona, Mienshao. At first I planned to include Braviary instead of Zoroark, but I found it was a late-game mon and I could do Zoroark's event with someone's help.

Y: Delphox, Florges, Hawlucha, Dragalge, Trevenant, Furfrou

Omega Ruby: Sceptile, Delcatty, Mawile, Manectric, Roserade, Camerupt, Altaria, Walrein, I was rotating them.

Magmortar, Lanturn, Mamoswine, Scizor, Tangrowth and Togekiss. As you can tell already the Lanturn and Mamoswine were the new coverage guys. Scizor was a fucking joke one shotting everything with Swords Dance Technician Bullet Punch, and my Magmortar had fucking Thunderbolt despite having a Lanturn. I mostly attribute it to him being my hatcher though so he was a permanent stay.

Emboar, Lilligant, Excadrill, Cofagrigus, Eelektross and Durant. Eelektross was such a fucking bitch to evolve man. First form is so fucking shitty and then you have to nab a Thunder Stone at Shopping Mall 9. Was worth it in the end I guess...

Greninja, Florges, Aegislash, Malamar, Barbaracle and Hawlucha. My most disappointing team ever. Everyone except Aegislash and Hawlucha failed to meet my expectations, and even then Hawlucha just became a slave near the end with Fly, Strength and Rock Smash. Simply atrocious.

never played RBY, but apparently I accidentally did a speedrunning strat in Leafgreen, because I soloed that whole game with a Nidoking that I evolved from Nidorino at level 16.

Behold, my first red team. Charizard was overleveled as shit, followed by Rapidash who just fire spinned everything to death.

It got to the point where none of my friends would battle me because of Rapidash. Agility + Fire Spin was so broken.

Fire types were teh coolest (or, teh HOTTEST lelelelele), but I needed Gyarados for surfing and Pidgeot for flying. Also Raichu was cooler than Pikachu. And I had the best team ever.

FIRST first starter was Torchic but I didn't know was saving was, so an hour into my 9th birthday, I just got Mudkip instead.
So Swamper, Pelipper, Roselia, Aggron, Cradily? Diamond for sure was Empoleon, Staraptor, and Luxray. Nowadays, I do no-starter gen-only runs.

I do gen only runs, and I'm trying to do a no starter run of HG. My team so far is planned to be:
Houndoom, Scizor, Noctowl, Furret
I'm stuck between Kingdra or Slowking. And the six spot would go to either Donphan, Tyrannitar or Mismagius (since she evolves from a johto mon)

Any ideas?

Yellow: Raichu (traded, evolved and traded back), Charizard, Ivysaur, Wartortle, Pidgeot, Oddish. Never made it to Saffron, because I didn't know how to get there.

Silver: Typhlosion, Scyther, Sudowoodo, Umbreon, Tentacruel, Skarmory. (I'm not sure how accurate these are it was a long time ago since I last played silver.)

I abandoned my starter pretty much as soon as I got a Shroomish. I had a Breloom, Flygon, Sableye, and Absol for most of the game, and took an Azumarill that I'd left in the daycare for 30 levels out for the E4. I never ended up beating this one.
