Well, consider this. When even hardcore Pokemon fans like >>26060392, >>26055890, and >>26055790, who visit a dedicated Pokemon board on a niche site like 4chan, actually think Tajiri is Ishihara, what do you expect? Inevitably, casual journalists and Facebook kids are going to post photos of Ishihara labeled as Tajiri and things will get even more confusing for younger fans who have never seen him before.

Some might say it doesn't really matter, but to be honest I find it disappointed that Ishihara is undermined to the point that his likeness goes to represent a different person. He's the true brains behind Pokemon's management and expansion, and the series would have never succeed without him.
