I planned for Charizard to be my favorite fire type but I was afraid people would make fun of me for it, so I put Charmander instead. I love the entire Charmander line, even Charmeleon, and if it weren't for Charizard I probably wouldn't be a Pokemon fan cause I thought he looked cool on the cover of Red version and bought it.

I respect a fan of Gastrodon, I don't know much about it competitively, but that thing was my designated water type and surfer in Gen 4, and it was kinda cool to have a second go with Water/Ground typing after Swampert (or third if you had a Quagsire too)

What's the deal with Houndour though? I always thought it was kinda dinky and awkward compared to Houndoom, and you don't seem to have a NFE thing going. I could assume you're not a fan of theatrics, but you do have Serperior, Gigalith, and Chandelure which stand out a lot.

Really the only bad apple here is Slurpuff, I think that thing is hideous. Probably just acquired taste, you chart is well-rounded anyway.

I really think Houndour has a better design compared to Houndoom, I don't like the curved horn shit, it looks horrible to me, I hate to use this meme, but I like Houndour because it's more simple.
