This is the first time Ash has had a fully evolved ('cept the Pikachu) team, a REALLY GOOD team, and still won't win.

His rival literally has a team just as good if not better than Ash's, has fought Ash plenty of times to learn his strengths and weaknesses, AND is perceptive and capable enough as a trainer due to all that XP he's been gathering.

At least this time when Ash loses, it won't be bullshit (as long as he loses to Shota).

Why does it seem like everyone forgets that Ash is the one with years of experience, NOT the Kalos team? Ash being an experienced trainer does NOT translate to any of the Kalos Pokemon (not even Greninja) having years of experience.

Ash's experience doesn't mean a thing when comparing him to Sawyer since at the end of the day, Ash's Kalos Pokemon have no greater experience than Sawyer's Pokemon since both are going through their first League. Just because Ash has years of experience doesn't automatically mean that Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Noivern or Goodra have years of experience (nor will whatever Ash gets for his sixth capture) since the Kalos team isn't experienced.

To those who argue that Sawyer beating Ash is dumb because of Ash's experience, I must emphasize that Pikachu is the only Pokemon Ash has with any past experience in XY. Ash's Kalos Pokemon aren't any more experienced than Sawyer's Pokemon.

Another thing: Why is it Sawyer beating Ash is such an unrealistic thing? By that logic, Ash had no business beating ANY of the gym leaders (and by extension, the Battle Frontier) since they would all be vastly more experienced than Ash. If Ash losing to Sawyer is poor writing, what does that make Ash's entire journey? Ash was less experienced than the Frontier Brains so going based off of the very standards that people hold Sawyer to, Ash had no business beating ANY of the Frontier Brains, especially not Brandon. The Paul vs Brandon is literally what happens when you take an experience gap to the expected conclusion.

So Ash (with only three Leagues of experience) winning the Battle Frontier against the Frontier Brains with many, many more years of experience is accepted by everyone... yet somehow Sawyer beating Ash is unrealistic? I think people on the forums hold a massive bias in favour of Ash and/or bias against Sawyer. From a logical perspective, the skill gap between Sawyer and Ash would be smaller than that Ash and the Frontier Brains.

So, now that we know that there's basically going to be four battles in the upcoming month, that means that scene from the preview that showed Ashninja without the water veil is in the Diantha battle (it's the only battle taking place on grass, whereas the others are on a dirt battlefield and in Wulfric's case an ice battlefield). And it's shown transforming into Ashninja like that, with no water veil. BUT, later it's shown fighting Gardevoir with a water veil. Plus it has Clemont's bracelet against Diantha and Shota as well. But it has the water veil the whole time during the Alan battle. So I wonder if that means they're gonna find something out about all that next episode.
