Don't have any decent pictures of him, but I like Burgh. He's very pretty to look at, his Gyms were both interestingly themed, and, like a lot of the Gen V gym leaders, he actually had a pretty active role in the game's story.

Actually most of the gym leaders beyond gen 1 are pretty unmemorable to me aside from V, and Gen 1 is only memorable to me because of how religeously I followed the anime.

All the memes and waifus aside, I think my favorite gym leader is Blue.

In the generations he appeared as a gym leader, he shows great character development. From a bratty kid into a somewhat wise young man. The first meeting on Cinnabar Island is a pretty cool encounter.

I also like the fact that he does not specialize in any type and is actually stronger than the Elite 4. It implies that he could have remained the Champion if he wanted, he just wasn't interested if Red wasn't there to provide a challenge to him. To him, the title doesn't mean as much as having to compete with his friend and rival.

That's why he's the Viridian City Gym Leader. He does it out of boredom, like he has nothing better to do. It also allows him to be close to his grandpa and sister, while also keeps him close to Red in Mt.Silver, so he can check up on them whenever he wants.

Through all that, he still hasn't lost the passion for Pokemon battles though. He gets fired up when he's against you in Gen II and remakes. To me, this is the character that shows the best character development in the most subtle way.
