I disagree. BW was shit, no doubt, but it was shit that tried interesting things and failed miserably. BW actually had a lot of great ideas, it just basically fucked up the execution on all of them. Johto didn't even get that far, it was just years of tedious character-of-the-day filler without even attempting anything different. They're both bad, but I'd easily rank BW above Johto.

I enjoyed AG more then DP because I enjoyed Ash in that season more then DP and May was a good female character that I though was handled better then Misty and Dawn.

I am still mad about how the anime ruined Iris. She was so awesome in the games and I thought she would have been great for ash. Unfortunately they made Iris annoying in the anime. Much like how they made misty ugly in the anime when compared to the game.

anyway the animation of pokemon has improved since BW not XY

The only way I can do it by season is by selecting which one has the most well played story arc in it. Even though I haven't actually seen it, it might be a tie between DP's Galactic arc and XY's Team Flare. DP might win for also having the best rival arc to date, but take some salt on that since no real character development is had from it.

For me,

I hasn't been good since Gen 1. Not even a nostalgia-fag, but unlike the games the anime actually got worse as time went on.

The episodes now lack any creativity or charm, they're just shelled out with unlikeable characters.
