My prediction for the conclusion of X&Y.

The end takes place at a train station or an air port, and Ash is about to leave for Hawaii.
Serena will kiss Ash on the cheek after talking about how Ash helped her grow.
She will say something about her dream, and "until we meet again!" and run off to join granny.
Ash will stand there flustered and dumbfounded and ask himself "what was that about?"

We may never see Serena again, and even if she shows up in a later season she and ash will act like the kiss never happened.
