That comic makes me awfully tempted by Zekrom, he's got a cool design and he strikes a good balance for a legend by being powerful and, well, legendary, but not to the extent of Arceus or one of the reality warpers which feel a little too much like easy mode.

But I'd still probably go with one of the Regi's. I went through all the hoops to get them in Sapphire back in the day and they're still my favourites. Regice is my number one, but I'd probably want Registeel as a trainer.

I would go with Regigigas. It was the first one to ever hold onto my interest, considering its backstory. I would have mentioned the runner-ups, but they had something different happen to them, so I though that would be kind of cheating.

Reshiram/Zekrom. Both are great, and the best example of what it means to be "legendary" imo.

If this includes all legendaries and event legends, except Arceus, I would choose Celebi. Its true ability of time travel is overwhelmingly powerful. I wouldn't pick Dialga because he's just a guy that uses his power to freeze time and steal people's clothes and do other weird things like that.

If it's just non events it would be Kyogre. Kyogre has easy access to the deepest depths including hidden caves where I can store loot and hold hidden bases. It's a major resource.
