Why not have Clemont be developed by having him start building machines that dont explode and have him build the new tech such as the Pokedex Z and the Synchronization Bracelets, it would give him development and make him relevant again after the Brobowl.

To be honest the only ship that, at this point, can pose a threat to Amour is Diodeshipping (Ash/Clemont). All the other girls just don't have a chance to compete with Serena's huge crush. The big threat to Amour, of course, is the fact that Ash might be gay - considering how he hasn't had any reaction to a girl ever since Giselle which was more than a decade ago. And you cannot deny the fact that Ash and Clemont already are VERY close (and we know that Lillia won't get Clemont next week).

I've caught up with all the released episodes of X&Y and I'm enjoying it more than I expected.

I remember watching some random episodes of best wishes thinking pokemon had gotten better since I watched it as a kid. I also remember finding green hair guy a bit annoying. Also >you're such a child Ash!

During the dance episode, there's a point where we watch Ash rotating around as he dances. As he turns away from the camera, that V-shaped part of his hair shrinks into nothingness while the two tufts in the OP image remain there.

Well, I wasn't going to elaborate because this is 4chan and not tumblr, but fine, I'll write my five page essay on why Serena is better than your character here.

In order to get the full depth of the emotion, you have to take the scene in it's context. This is Serena's first Tripokalon, and she has failed horribly at it. Shauna and Clemont both worried about her (while Ash was sure that she'd make it through because Serena is strong). We were all expecting a collapse where Serena falls apart and cries, because we've seen her crying after failing before (XY53's flashbacks) and clearly she's holding in a lot of emotion, based on her body language (hugging Fennekin tightly while watching Shauna perform, trying to rush to the Pokémon Center with Bonnie). We get a few more scenes with Team Rocket, Yashio, and Ash and Clemont talking about their Gym Battle.

And then we get a curveball.

Serena tells Fenenkin and Pancham that she's never felt like this before. Not like a loser, but like a challenger. She's not sad because she lost. She's sad because she's finally getting started on the race to her dream.

The camera draws in and you see this sad smile on her face change into a determined glare, as the song starts to crescendo. And she pulls out her scissors and stands up and runs to the end of the dock.

Then, we get a quick series of flashbacks to all of Serena's journey so far. Rhyhorn Racing, meeting Ash and the others, getting Fennekin and Pancham, racing her mother for her dream and even this recent failure.

And then, with no sound and only the music playing the most dynamic and expressive part of the song, we see Serena's long hair start to fall.

The next time we see her, her appearance has changed. She's changed, not just externally, but it's a reflection of an internal change, too. And everyone is shocked by the change for at least a moment.

That's why the scene is "very emotional".
