Now Gen 5 is my favorite Gen, and Hilda and Rosa are easily in my top 3 Pokemon protags for sure, but for some weird reason, I really, really like Brendan's design in Omega Ruby.

I just like how free spirited and big eyed he looks. Just a cute boy with a fit body, and glossy brown hair. It sounds like every other Pokemon protag, and yet OR/AS does it so well.


I didn't even like OR/AS, I thought it was a mediocre pile of hand-holding garbage, but the character designs are just phenomenal.

Yeah, I got to admit, Calem was absolute trash. In fact, both of those characters were boring as fuck. I don't care what Serena's character is like in the anime, her design is extremely bland.

And i know that was likely deliberate due to the game's heavy customization element, but that isn't an excuse to just pull off a half assed job.
