As the game wasn't progressed much past the concept art and showing one unfinished pokemon being modelled in 3D by the time the direct was filmed, I doubt we'll be getting much in the way of game footage.

However, they might reveal some of the concept art, like their map (which is usually revealed fairly early on in the hype train because they know it will produce loads of hype and fan speculation for minimum actual information released) and maybe the protagonists concept art.

I doubt we will see the starters just yet, not least because they will be saving some pretty major stuff for E3 as the official reveal for fairy type there really kicked off the international hype for XY and they'll want to recapture some of that. As it is unlikely they'll have anything quite as gamechanging as a new type this time round the starters are the next biggest thing likely to get fans excited.

One thing we might see is the box legendaries, either there bold as brass or, if they are in the mood to tease, in a who's that pokemon style silhouette. As the box legendaries are a major part of the branding and marketing for the games it makes sense to get them out there as soon as possible and that is usually one of the first things they reveal because of that.

I think, we won't get anything today.

No, revealed every 'new' pokemon except for the mythical pokemon and lati@s mega, which were revealed by hack.

There weren't that many 'new' pokemon for XY because a lot of the new stuff was taken up by new mega evolutions as they had to catch up with 6 generations of pokemon that needed to have megas. Hopefully this time the mix will be more in favour of new pokemon.

I'm pretty sure there weren't many new mons because we've kinda got a fucking lot of them now. Gen 5 introduced more than any other gen.

Megas are, in that respect, a good way to "add" more mons without having to actually expand the pokedex any further, like you would with evolutions, and go back and get a chance to change some of them without actually changing them. If that's what you care about, I don't necessarily agree that it worked out.
