Nicknames don't affect the shiny colorations, but one fun thing is that Smeargle's tail has three different colors even when Shiny depending on its IVs. I wouldn't have even thought to check if I didn't get a different color tail that the one I have legitimately.

OP here, it doesn't. Shinies have a fixed color shift. Or, in what seems to be Gyarados' and possibly a few others' case, a different texture altogether. The only that I found to have any difference were Smeargle, based on IVs.

Nearly everything in 6 is static and boring. Model quality is barely an upgrade from pokemon battle revolution which also looked way fucking better

PBR had really mixed quality. GenI looked great since it was remade I guess, but GenIII looked hideous and clashed with the rest of the game.
Gotta agree previous games have really cool animations, albeit they're just on a select couple of Pokémon and some looked really weird, like Kangaskhan

Gen 6 had to continue the tendency of fast battles that Gen 5 restored from 4, if had took the Stadium/Battle Revolution route with all these long animations it would be boring as fuck.

Resolution =/= Model quality
Revolution reused a lot of models from fucking Stadium with just better textures, XY has way better and more precise models, don't let the 3DS resolution fool you since it looks pixelated, the models are infinitely better than Revolution when put in high res.

Why do the shineys look different in the 3D games?

Like suicune having black cloud hair instead of blue in revolution and syther being completely red instead of a tinge.

Well, shineys did look like shit in gen 2. Gen 3 and forward made em better.

Yo OP, could you hook up the GBA games to Dolphin?
I know I've seen genned Pokes in things like Battle Revolution running with upped resolution on Dolphin so I'd assume there's probably a way too for Colosseum as well.
