I found this the other day and the new design on the wing makes me think there's something going on here.

With "Ash Geninja" being a thing, we can expect some form of "burst evolution" like Pokemon Re:Burst.
They're constantly trying to figure out the origination of Mega Evolution, and Charizard is sorta the center point for this, so it stands to reason that he would have a burst form.

The fire lingers on his wing and surrounds him, sorta like Burst Geninja (Ash Geninja).

Thoughts?

Yeah, I think it's really cool. I was in Japan during the Charizard month at the pokemon center. Got a lot of cool figures for cheap, but I didn't see this one.
