Not yet. Since Black and White are also DS and the 3DS is compatible with both DS and 3DS, it's not as hard to connect the games together as it was with Gen V, when DSi and 3DS got rid of the GBA port.

What I want out of the remakes
>Increased surfing speed
>Increased text speed
>More balanced Pokemon spread. Platinum was abysmal, and Diamond/Pearl was tied for worst in the series other than G/S/C/HG/SS
>Do not, in any way, make the hard fights easier. Roark needs his Cranidos, Mars her Purugly, and Cynthia her EV trained Garchomp
>Improved post-game-island. Make Survival Area have more importance other than being a free healing spot on your way to Mt. Stark. The island was amazing, but the things to do on it shored up quickly
>Let you do Gyms 3-5 in any order you want, with levels and Pokemon adjusted for when you fight them
>Make Celestic Town and Floaroma town worth visiting once you've passed them

Platinum was good. I don't really have any major complaints, other than the Pokemon spread and game speed, but I think it can be made even better. If they expanded the post game island, or, hell, added another one a la the Sevii Islands, I'd be ecstatic. The island was one of my favorite spots to be in any Pokemon game, right up there with Sootopolis and Route 25.

You know what, I've been adamantly anti-gen IV for a long time. I did not enjoy Diamond nearly as much as any other game. But hey, maybe a remake could give me a chance to actually enjoy Sinnoh. That would be cool.

Remakes have always come 2 systems after their release, has nothing to do with what gen it is.

I would guess that if a FR/LG remake was to happen, it would happen after S/M but before the next handheld system is released.

D/P remakes are most likely to come after the new Pokemon gen on the next handheld console is released (most likely gen 8). This would most likely be no earlier than 2021 or later than 2023, after taking into affect the avg gap between generations and consoles.

To be clear this is just following the most stable pattern up to this point. However Gamefreak is proving to have increased inconsistency as of late, so who really knows.

Well, it really did feel like RS remakes were going to happen in Gen V. Especially with all the nods to Gen III features. I think it got scrapped though because of the 3DS releasing and Game Freak being told by Nintendo to do something "unique and interesting" if they're sticking with the DS another game. And let's be honest, RS remakes over BW2 would have been a terrible choice.

Gen V being on DS was a big mistake to begin with though. But it was really just bad timing.

I dunno if I'd buy a Sinnoh remake, I really do consider them to be the among the lowest games in the series cause I didn't find them fun. Sure you might be able to objectively break down to me why B/W, X/Y. ect. was worse, but they were the games that introduce a new region/pokemon I had the least fun playing and that's ultimately what matters the most. If it wasn't for HG/SS I'd likely would have quit Pokemon at gen IV.

Also after OR/AS I have no faith in GameFreak making a good remake again. Those games are my least favorite Pokemon games.

In FRLG and HGSS, they just added content to the games that were already made, and in general improved upon them. I was pretty excited for ORAS, but on release, there was not only cut content (I know it's small, but too the exclusion of battle tents, trainer and battle tower, etc. and the bullshit cock tease of battle frontier that was in ruby and sapphire, but what was added newly wasn't that big in the long run.

The after game was neat, but it was pretty short term, but I did atleast enjoy it none the less.

They made bases better, but that should've been a given

PLUS THEY COPY AND PASTED THE BATTLE MAISON, DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER GETTING A MODEL AND CHANGING IT TO A BATTLE TOWER.

They know there games will sell regardless of what they put in the games. In general, outside of the new battle mechanics, faster battle speed, and 3D pokemon, Gen VI in general has sucked compared to the others. It's felt really bland, I hope sun and moon aren't anything like VI, especially due to the bullshit easy difficulty. I mean, they added a hard mode in one game, but I guess they realize there's not reason to put in the extra effort. Fuck Game Freak.
