I do indeed still do that. My life has gotten a little less chaotic so I have time to actually work on stuff again. I can post things that the spriters have been working on if you're all interested. It's not a huge amount, but I'm pleased with the quality.

There's at least 2 wetland area, probably 3::

There's a marsh (r11) below cycling road. R9 connects to it and r9 being wet is supposed to be a sort of transiton to that.

The route by the town the shaman gym leader is in is intended to be a jungle swamp.

There's also a "Fire swamp" concept, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, but where it is if it will exist at all is nebulous.

So while it's true that the start of 23 may not end up being a swamp, or that 11 could be a swamp and not a marsh, as of now, until decided otherwise, the foundational basis is that 23 is a swamp and 11 is a marsh.

The layout is totally fine, but we're talking about the finishing touches of the map including the overall visual design of it (which is the main problem of it. It's visually boring).

I think it might be quite nice to give the player a choice of one of them mid-late game, potentially from the dragon E4 member. I think it adds depth to the E4 and gym leaders if you bump into them outside of gym/e4 battles, so it might be quite a nice touch
