Highly unlikely, they record the episodes in advance, so the hosts of the show likely knew about Sun and Moon before the public did. Also there was a preview for the next episode and it included Masuda talking about Sun and Moon, a monitor even showing the logos.

The only time I remember them getting footage that was never seen in America was stuff they had for what I believe was the starters on the official site. There could've been others, though. That kinda has me concerned. Usually they announce if things are about to be revealed. No indication of anything on our side as far as I know.

That show is a whimsical mistress.

On good days you can get mascots, starter silhouettes, and game announcements. On bad days you can get fucking nothing or useless teasers.

One of the most memorable times was when they had a borderline gameplay trailer for BW2 featuring a battle with Hugh. Someone actually pieced together a speculation "remix" of his theme from what could be heard over the show's screeching cast.
