I find it's kinda cleaver how they translate the fact that sea lion have a goofy way to walk on land but are gracious under the sea by making him a quadrupedal swordsman, it's hard for it to use it's blades on land because they are made to be used underwater where it doesn't need to use its front legs as a support

Story time!

Back in GSC days I was a Typhlosion fanboy riding the bandwagon and I hated water types so I very rarely caught one. Without internet I had no way of knowing what else could learn surf so when I had to go to Cianwood I would trade a Voltorb for the fisherman's Krabby but on one of my playthroughs I couldn't find him anywhere and I got pissed. I started a new game and thought I was being smart by choosing Totodile so I wouldn't get stuck again and thus Feraligatr became my favorite pokemon. I quickly grew to love Totodile and even Croconaw but Feraligatr was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

Also nice taste except for having Feraligatr last. It's nice to see someone else on this board who likes Samurott

Feraligatr is like the Guilmon of pokemon for me. He's not only my favorite starter but also my favorite pokemon too.
