Generally speaking, I've noticed that every ghost that evolves into its second form is already a handy partner to have, since both of their weaknesses are pretty uncommon.

In particular, Lampent, Chandelure, Haunter and Dusclops rarely let me down.

You need some better opponents. Every Pokémon will fail you eventually.

I like Jellicent, but it's not that great right now. Dark type is too good and too prevalent.

It's a fun Keldeo counter, though.
