>You get 5 free pokeballs a day, but catch rates are so low that you might as well get none unless you use them on shitty pokemon from the first few routes
>Greatballs and higher require premium currency and/or in game currency (but are really damn expensive)
>The game hooks you in by giving you plenty of premium currency for free at first, but after slaving away at the game for a week or two and buying 2 master balls or so, the game suddenly becomes really stingy as your sources for premium cash have been used up; Expect your 3rd masterball in a few months if you're lucky.

>Weekly events where you have to do a tedious task such as battling the same trainer over and over (which requires stamina) and getting points depending on your performance, for a chance to get an otherwise unobtainable pokemon, or with a unique moveset, etc, which is only given to the 1000 highest scores.
