Sadly, it's huge success has doomed Pokemon to repeat its formula for all eternity

A kid getting its first Pokemon from a professor, the same basic world layout and basically the same story about an evil team something. You can't change much about the battle system either because of the competitive scene.

At this point would be hyped about starters that aren't water, grass and fire let alone a futuristic world on a giant dead robot.
