That can;t work due to the idea that yeah, you can have honest people that will use only three of their pokemon but who's to say they won't just use what counters the mon they're up against?
The point of this is to pick three mons fro myour team and try to putplay your opponent with the mons you're ecentually forced to use.
And if you think stating the mons you're going to use before starting the battle would be fine then that makes it boring to see what they have in the back with no surmise.

flying type is good because flying by itself isn't a real type, it's basically a secondary type
there's only one actual mono flying pokemon, everything else is "psychic type that also flies" "bug that also flies" "dragon that also flies" etc.
It's got by far the widest range of types available to it, with different mons to offset its common weaknesses in addition to just plain having a lot of strong pokemon accessible.
You've got options for pretty much anything you could ever want on a team in flying.

The only thing that gives flying teams pause is a fast boltbeamer that is capable of taking a hit from the common Talonflame or Staraptor sets.

Are you allowed to use Pokemon who's previous forms were of your chosen type?

For example, can I use Drapion on a Bug-type team? Or can I use Azumarill on a Normal-type team?

Electric has struggled for entrants since season 2 because although lots of people like the type for reasons, they take a look at the electric pokemon list and suddenly realise that it's kinda hard to make a monoteam work.

No idea why normal, flying and fire don't have signups though. Those types are great and usually pretty popular.

Only two real physical attackers, no good ways to boost attack, a general lack of utility. Barring type advantage, you don't have the raw power to break walls and your only taunt users are Electrode, Electivire and Emolga. Electivire usually gets a scarf since it needs the extra speed to perform well and Emolga is well, Emolga.
Your only Trick user is Rotom who already carries a lot of stuff for the team that electric can't get elsewhere with access to wisp, screens, confuse ray, forme STAB attacks, etc.
If you aren't carrying Trickspecs/scarf Rotom then the only way to get past stall play is to outstall your opponent for PP with something like rest Lanturn since it doesn't get 3hko'd by seismic toss.

Rotom and Magnezone cover a lot of troublesome matchups but they need fairly specific builds to be able to check them which leaves you unable to deal with other stuff.

What he said changed literally nothing. Only Callum gets to make the decisions about what is banned/unbanned. People who have experience with the format and have proven themselves to be good players in it should have some swing in those decisions, it only makes logical sense.

Also the bans were placed as a blanket for simplification even thought we know legends weren't all unfair and broken. We've decided this time to allow them to test the waters before the S/M release tournament so we can have the best format possible.

And yes it's important to simplify the bans to some degree since to this day people try to sign up with banned shit.

Extremely solid pick in general though for coverage wise on psychic it would help better if it could wall ghost and dark still.
Besides from that it hits like a truck mega form and could be an ace on your team. Could prob pair it with Malamar for it's slight resistance to dark and ghost, but I still feel isn't too recommended to pick Malamar.

While there might be a case for mega sableye, i think mega slowbro and lopunny should be alright to use. I used M-bunny on my normal team last tourney, and while it was good, it didn't win matches by itself, even with fake out.

Sableye though .. one of the only solid counters to it is a strong physical fire pokemon. Once it gets one or two calm minds in, and WoWs whatever physical mon its facing, its pretty much GG. I'd be fine without calm mind being banned, but its tough to face for sure, especially with magic bounce

I think you're looking at M-lop wrong, It's not broken to the same cadence as say E-killer arceus where you just SD on anything and sweep. It's that it's incredibly limiting in what sort of pokemon can be used against it.

For example think off all the games you played with the lop, how many of those games were your opponent offensive? Balanced? Defensive? You probably very rarely got to face a very offensive team becaause if you did, lopunny would basically be an auto-win button.

That's why I think it should be limited from having fake out, because it limits the ability of players to run a very offensive team if they want, because if they don't have good defensive switch-in for m-lop, it gets a kill on coming in every time.

The reason I think banning fake out would be a good idea is because it would take away it's safe opportunity to mega and push what is almost every offensive pokemon into OHKO range for free, but not completely destroy it's ability to be used. Just it's ability to auto-win certain match-ups.

We kind of are! As far as I know, this is the only place that does 3v3 monos, and we've already set a precedent for "pokemon X is only banned on Y type" with various legendaries like zapdos and terrakion.

Honestly, I'd say I have faced more offensive teams that defensive, and I think the 3v3 mono meta has a lot to do with that. Even still though, my m-lop didn't control the games I used it in to any extent greater than other megas, metagross for instance.

I can see how the raw speed and power of mm-lop compared to something that ambipom makes all of the difference, so if fake out does get looked at, I wouldn't be that surprised. I wouldn't vote for a ban, though.

So I'm going to bring up some replays here that we can look at for evidence to support a case on either end, specifically the matches I played against you last tournament when you had the mega llopunny.

I'd say my team was more offensively styled but no incredibly so with a few fatter mons and a M-mane to help against physical attackers.

Now I realize you didn't have the lopunny in the second game but it very much was still a relevant pokemon.

Now getting into the first game: I'll say it plain and simple I believe I was literally forced into running these three pokemon with manectric coming first because if I ever did not, Lopunny lead would automatically win the game. We can go over the numbers for that as much as you like but I can assure you it would happen without much play from past Fake out > HJK > Sack a mon > repeat.

After watching game 1 a few more times, I don't think I can really make any comments about lopunny in it other than I feel you played it poorly but that's besides the point.

Moving into game 2 I obviousl can't say much due to lopunny not being in the match, but just the presence of it on your team forced an auto-loss if I didn't happen to be running this specific set up with M-mane taking the lead. You can say that you made a solid prediction in leading diggersby, which you did and that I was wrong to lead M-mane, which I would say I was not. I'd say the comparing the risk/reward of our lead choices I had an incredible risk not leading M-mane because if you chose lopunny at any point that I did, I would just lose. On the otherhand, you had the option to lead with something different at a very low risk since I was basically forced into the M-mane lead, and you took the option and abused it. You would have easily won this game if it weren't for the RNG on turn 1.

So really what my point here is, is that in a match-up versus an offensive team M-lop skews risk/reward far too heavily into the favor of the user to really be fair.

If I had more replays I would post them but I purged the ones from my run with fighting before the last tournament.
