As cool as it is, I get the feeling this decision was helped by Nintendo behind the scenes. The general FGC audience don't have Wii Us so the game is mostly going to appeal to Smash players in the first place, which already have 2 games there. Then again people like JWong say they're going to learn it so hopefully it will expand.
