As of right now, the anime. XY's characters were all either bland or complete garbage. The way the anime's been handling them is so much better, it's fucking embarrassing.

I consider the anime to be 30 minute long ads for the franchise so I don't even view them as the canon. Only the games matter

At least Ash has several different character traits
Tierno is slightly better, Trevor is almost nonexistant and Shauna is basic but at least works better as a rival to Serena

I never said the game version is good in any way, dumbass. I just said the anime versions aren't superior in the slightest. You said the anime handled them "so much better, it's embarrassing", which is blatantly wrong. They're both equally shit.

Calem would destroy anime if he ever appeared in it. Destroy and tear into pieces and turn every single male gay and every single female straight while handling Pokemon with style rivaling PokeSpe's Ruby.
Serena is sort of cool in both game and anime, no hard feelings here.
Ash is better than he was in previous seasons but not good enough for game.
Alain too edgy for game, too good for anime.
