If you HAD to change/add something about the battle system to make it more interactive, what would it be?
Disregarding the effect it would have on competitive battling. Be creative.
shit, what if the battle system was altered to play like the mario ampersand luigi games? they're, like, the best.

There's like a thousand moves. They'd have to get rid of 95% of them.

every battle(even online) has random stage effect (Electric/Grass/Fairy terrain etc etc) for Every typeand no option to turn it off

Remove a lot of redundant moves, remove miss/accuracy on moves. Reduce PP of moves (they now regen outside battle).
Change battle system - you can still choose 1 of 4 moves per turn except now you draw a path on a battlefield map which the pokemon will follow. During any point of the path you can choose to use your attack; once both sides have chosen attack the turn will play out. It would be somewhat similar to the mechanics of Transistor.
Closer attacks will deal more damage, movement speed along path is determined by Pokemon speed, and you can use your turn to be evasive instead. Special attackers could be used as ranged to evade melee, but distance decreases damage.

Pokemon battles play like fights in Devil May Cry. Building the style meter increases the capture chance of wild Pokemon

That sounds really fun. Haven't heard of Transistor before but looking at the trailer now, I'm definitely interested.

Eh, I mean. It doesn't have to be DMC level but and ARPG mainline pokemon game would be pretty neat.
>4 moves mapped to A/B/X/Y
>L is lock-on/off button and R is dodge
>evasion affects how far you can dodge
>speed affects how fast you can move
Conquest with 4 moves and no type affinities

I guess R could be block and R + Direction would be dodging.
You have to shout the attack names into the mic
