Hey guys, didn't want to make my own thread for this, but does anybody have some advice?

What are some must haves on a generic team? Some friends and I decided to battle, none of us have ever seriously battled before so it will be hard to predict what others are going to use.

I do have a pretty good idea that they'll be trying to abuse Stealth Rock, Spikes, and volatile status stuff such as Sleep and paraflinching. Maybe somebody will be a that guy and use an Evasion boosting strategy. As far as attacks go, I don't think I'll really be concerned about anything Fire would be super effective against.

I've already formulated a team, I think it's a little on the cautious side as far as recovery moves.

I just did my first GTS trade because my friend said some people trade starters for legendaries so I put up a Totodile for a Xerneas 2 weeks ago to see if anyone would take and I checked today and someone did.

Only thing is I think it's hacked because it's a shiny and I don't know if anyone would trade a shiny for it, how can I tell? I've never had a hacked Pokemon before so I don't know the signs other than the pentagon but it has one.

So I had to interchange my 3DS a couple months ago and forgot to take out the SD card. As a result when I got home and booted up the XY it wouldn't play. So I did without until today, now I am tempted to restart because I picked Blastoise instead of Charizard and Amaura instead of Tyraunt so, my question to you all is, should I just restart, like I feel lost as hell just in that few months time that took place, the story didn't really impact me that much, and the entire time I didn't really know what to expect so wasted money and training time on gimmick pokes only to get the late game team I have right now.

tl;dr - Willing to Trade level 60 Blastoise with Blastoistinite for a Charizard with Charizardinite, and a lv 46 Aurorus for the evolution of Tyraunt, or are those such rare requests that I'd just come out better restarting the game.
