All you are doing is projecting your childhood and teen 'love' interest onto a character that was designed for you to relate to at that age. There is far more evidence to support an Ash and Serena relationship or even an Ash and Misty relationship - and I don't think either of those will happen. Maybe something will happen with Serena towards the end of the X and Y arc, but it will probably be some kind of vague 'until we meet again' thing since the writers are afraid to tie Ash down to any single person.

Then maybe you want someone with similar personalities traits to May - only that person has a penis. This 'ideal' person's appearance is likely a non-factor. I just tend to find that in most of these kinds of threads, the person's shipping preference tends to line up very closely to that person's preference of partner. With the shipper projecting their interests onto a character they can relate to on some level.

Honestly, the presents very little evidence to ever support a May and Ash relationship. So far Serena has been given the most attention by the writers in this regard. And I don't think they're going to follow through on anything.

Advanceshipping has very little canonical basis, especially in the face of Contestshipping, it's direct competition.

Pearlshipping COULD have been something, but there's no evidence that it went anything beyond friends, ever. Not even with Lyra on the show shipping it.

Negaishipping is Pokeshipping 2.0 except they didn't have 4Kids pushing it (at least Ash and Iris went on a date)
