One of the funnest teams/playthroughs I had, still have a soft spot for Platinum even though I only played it twice

Last time I played Pt, I'm pretty sure my only real combat Pokemon were Torterra (Eq, WoodHammer, StoneEdge, and something else) and Gallade (Psycho Cut, Close Combat, Night Slash, and SwDance). They wrecked everything. I think I had Giratina as a back up, but never used him. Everything else was for HMs.

Yeah, but it has good bulk early on. Bug/steel is pretty much always a great typing. It's still a shitmon, don't get me wrong, but its bulk/available moves makes it alright until everything else evolves. Like most in game bug types, it's really solid early game and drops off by about the 5th gym. They're basically Jagen from fire emblem games.

My team was Torterra, Staraptor, Vaporeon, Houndoom, Magnezone, Garchomp. Caught the Garchomp as a Gabite on Victory Road, and managed to get a 31 Speed IV, a 26 (iirc) Attack IV, and a Hasty nature.
