Pretty much you just keep breeding pokemon together with as many perfect IVs as possible until you get one with 5 IVs. It is really time consuming. Takes at least 20 tries.

I haven't really touched Gen IV games in a while but feel like hitting up Soul Silver again. Now apparently Nintendo shut down the whole GTS thing. Question is, can I still trade pokes from my DS to a 3DS and back again? So say I want to evolve a Haunter or Graveler or something, can I just trade it to my 3DS with White, then trade it back to Soul Silver?

Otherwise you just get the "Possible ivs" which can be a load for each stat.

The IV checker in the Battle Resort will tell you 0s and 31s.

If you have X/Y you can go to Battle Institute, I think, and it will auto-level your pokémon to 50 so you can use an IV checker like Metalkid etc.

You might be able to do a level 50 battle with another trainer but I'm not certain on that, I don't into online battles.

Does getting a 6IV Pokemon increase the chances of hatching other ones? I've had Y since the middle of last year and only bred a 6IV female Patrat in early December. Now 4 days ago I bred a 6IV Eevee and today I just got a 6IV Totodile.

Normally I'd think it's dumb but I've gotten 3 in the past month compared to none for like 5months before that, it's really weird.
