Why is gardevoir more popular than Gallade?

Gallade doesn't really appeal to anyone.
I'm pretty sure most people find male Gardevoir sexier than Gallade.

In gen 4 when I didn't know jack'n shit about competitive, I always prefered Gallade over Gardevoir because it had the extra Fighting type and it sounded more versatile (the extendable "sword" was kinda rad too).

It indeed was better than Gardevoir... But then Gen 6 came and the Fairy type made Gardevoir surpass Gallade. Not only that, but while M-Gardevoir has Pixilate, a ability that you can make some good use, M-Gallade has... Inner Focus.
