Tried chaining with dexnav to get a shiny minun but I'm over like 250. Is everyone else taking a long time? Any tips for a better/faster chaining method?

i restarted emerald

i was grinding right after i got the starter and noticed a lighter looking zigzagoon. i was playing with the sound off while watching tv so i didn't notice a sparkle

killed it, didn't think anything of it until i noticed the next zigzagoon encounter was a lot darker looking

fuck. didn't have balls anyway

Had a chain in Omega Ruby of over 60 for Numel, only to get it broken by running out of repels and running into a Machop.

1,835 resets into Thundurus. This is truly never going to happen, is it. I knew I should have gotten the Charm. Just kill me now.

Randomly decided to go chain for a shiny Zangoose for my last party member.

I finally got it at 578 and It was the right gender and decent IV's. Got it yesterday night.

just got my shiny charm didn't get the game till christmas and my DS just had the motherboard replaced so no friend safaris in X Bout to start SR'ing for some cresselia. Trick room VGC here I come!

Whats up everybody? How are the hunts goin'?

Despite being 140 hours into the game, having chained to up to 200 mons and bred several boxes of Zangoose with a japanese Ditto, I have yet to encounter one shiny pokemon.
Back in Y, I caught a shiny Croagunk before the 4th gym and had about 17 other shinies.
Did they mess with the encounter rate?

so would it be worth it to just gather boxes of eggs in ORAS where I have both charms and them take them to X and hatch them in Lumiose? It's determined at "birth" if they're shiny or not right? Lumiose is just a way better route than outside the battel resort
