I haven't played Flora Sky or Blazed Glazed, but between those two GSC remakes, CrystalDust is by far the better one. Shiny Gold isn't that bad, but it's really old and CrystalDust is able to be a lot more accurate due to the advancements of hacking. Dark Energy is also a good hack, though it's in a beta (with about a Johto-sized region being complete so far).

At the moment, CrystalDust is complete up to the Champion battle, if I remember correctly. I think Liquid Crystal, another remake, has Kanto partially completed, but Liquid Crystal isn't as accurate to GSC as CrystalDust is, and it has some bad OCs, so whichever one you'd want to play is probably dependent on how accurate you want things to be.

Dark Energy, despite the name, really isn't edgy at all. The writing is kind of shitty early on but it gets passable after the first couple Gyms. I would recommend Dark Energy just for having one of the best custom regions I've ever seen. The author is just really great when it comes to mapping and GSC's map format. I'm not an expert on the format myself, but I've heard experienced hackers like Mateo (the guy who made Pokémon Christmas and Red++, also good hacks) say they didn't know some of the stuff done with mapping was possible at the time. My personal favorite is pic related; toward the end of the beta you have to go to a less-inhabited part of the region, and it just has this huge, sprawling route that goes on forever without being interrupted with route gates. The hack also has some nice custom ASM features like an icy cave that you can only be in for a limited amount of time (being measured in seconds, not steps) before needing to escape due to the cold, and a neat gimmick with being able to de-evolve your Eevee starter with a special stone (that you only see 3-4 of, making it rather valuable), letting you get some nice fucking movesets if you mix and match from the movepools properly.

-Guzma uses Ariados and Alolan Muk. Gladion uses Sylvally and the final evolution of the starter that you're weak against.
-You have to rematch the Island Kahuna's before you battle the Champion. They go from 3 to 6 Pokémon and each have 1 mega evolution. The champion is Ash Ketchum (you wouldn't believe but you'll see in due time).
- Ash uses Mega Charizard Y as his final Pokémon in Sun, and Mega Charizard X as his final in Moon.
- A new "20 years later" version of the Kanto region can be explored after beating Ash. If you visit his home in Pallet town he's left a Charizardite X/Y (depending on your version) as an item for you in his home. A woman in Vermillion used to send mail with her sparrow to her cousin in Alola, but ever since an Airport's been built she has no reason too. If you find her mate in Alola again you'll get Pidgeotite. Radio tower in Lavender has moved to Saffron because its been inhabited by ghosts.
- Kanto has a difficulty setting for the gyms, but not in Alola. Battles have increased over all though.
- Prof Kukui tells you that he once beat the Indigo League Challenge after you show him all 8 kanto badges, he wonders what kind of moves Mewtwo can use.
- Alola has no new fossils
- Exp Share obtained early on at the Alolan Trainer School. Captain Ilimi gives it to you (it can be turned off).
- Their are 90 New Pokémon
- Their are 40 Alolan Pokémon
- Several Version Exclusives (Moon has the better version exclusives)
- I will reveal all the alolan forms in the next post but that's all. Don't want to risk getting caught somehow.
