Why are more women opting to cut their hair short instead of growing it out really long, like pic related? Long, flowing hair is absolutely beautiful and breathtaking.

This. Short hair can look decent in the right person, but long hair is always just gorgeous.

It could be that short hair can still be feminine but also easier to maintain.

I'm afraid you might be right. Long hair requires more maintenance therefore it's easier to simply cut it off. Real shame too.

I prefer long hair. As a man I also have long hair and people tend to like it because it's different on guys. It's not too hard to maintain. The only problem is when it inevitably gets in my mouth but that's a minor annoyance.

I am considering doing so again. In high school I had somewhat long but very curly hair so it wasnt as easy to tell that when straight it was almost double in length.

I feel like if I just grow it longer then I'm compensating for it falling out

/jp/ told me to go on like fent or something back in 2013 and I didn't do it and now my hairline has receded a bit

I feel like I should accept it as a natural part of aging
