You can only post in this thread if you're 2012
Don't tell me what to do.
I was alive during 2012
The world almost ended in 2012
Hahahahahahahahaahhahaha you faggots actually bought a pass back when captchas were easy as fuck and there was no reason to have a pass.

2012 pass users, post general opinions based on your time here.
I'll start.
1. /mu/ was better before they got obsessed with rap music. I blame Anthony Fagtano.
2. Mods banning GG from /v/ is one of the best moderation choices in recent memory and I'm glad they are still consistently axing grassroots activist bullshit when it starts to crop up on 4chan.
3. The creation of /soc/ legitimately improved /b/ and it goes to show there was a time when 4chan's administration actually cared about making /b/ good. If they wanted to continue that they'd do something about all the generic porn threads.
4. It's funny how /vg/ is now the best place to actually discuss video games when it was originally a quarantine board. But I wish those fags would stop talking about Katawa Shoujo already.
5. The 3D NSFW boards should be removed from 4chan. They serve no purpose but to hog up bandwidth. People should get their free porn elsewhere.
6. It's fine that /pol/ blew up this year and they do tend to stay inside their board and not bleed out, but I wish the moderation would actually crack down on off-topic shit. They probably don't want to because they are afraid of inciting the backlash of a million angry newfags who came to 4chan because they heard it was dark and edgy, though.
7. The best board I never used before but started recently using was /w/. Awesome and talented people as well as being really helpful in recurring threads like IMT.
8. /lgbt/ serves no purpose, it's not quarantining anything, nobody was clamoring for its creation, and I honestly think the only reason it was created was because moot wanted to virtue signal about how 4chan is an inclusive website.
9. DJT should be allowed on /a/.
10. People who don't watch anime don't belong on 4chan.

>but to hog up bandwidth.
Not with cloudflare they don't. They may take up disk space, but that's so cheap it doesn't matter. Also /s/ is one of the original boards.
>>49992
that doesn't make it good.

If the administration was actually concerned with boards hogging bandwidth, they'd start by deleting boards like /t/, /gd/, and /f/.

>flash is dead
>still have board dedicated to flash player

Is that Brian Fallon?
>>49913
Okay

Was hit by a range ban covering like all of China.
>>50039
You deserve the ban for using a Chinese IP
>>50042
rude
>>49995
Also doesn't mean it should be deleted.

Flash will be dead when nobody can play any flash content at all. People have been saying that flash is dead for at least a decade now and it still hasn't happened.

See how cloudflare works, https://www.cloudflare.com/cdn/ bandwidth isn't an issue because most of the content gets cached on cloudflare's network and are delivered from them.
Also have you ever been on any of those boards? /t/ is mostly text in the form of magnet links and moves slowly, it's not a copy of /s/ or /hr/ with torrents thrown in or something, the 4chan tracker died a long long time ago. In fact of the 38 threads that have over 100 replies, only 5 of them have 100+ images and only one thread on the whole board has 200+ images, /t/ could be a textboard and it would be fine. /f/ can only have 30 threads at any one time, and at a maximum filesize of 10mb is easily comparable to one thread full of gifs on /wsg/ or /gif/; to reiterate, /f/'s maximum filesize is comparable at most to one or two full threads on any board with 250 image limit or where larger files are more common. /gd/ is pretty slow. Looking over the threads, there's only three threads that are even close to hitting the 150 image limit.
