Is it possible that those who could have been considered "liberal" 10 years ago are "conservative" now?
I feel like the Overton window has recently shifted. I'm seeing more secularists being lumped in with the right. Am I going insane?

I think this is a lot of what's going on. Politics has been shoved into every facet of our lives the past couple of years, and this recent election has been it's absolute peak.
I think we all need some time off from politics. Just put the world out of your mind for a while, indulge in some pre-2010s escapist media, and give your brain a well-earned rest.
What I've noticed is that a lot of the center is getting demonized by the left so where once each side wanted the independents, classical liberals, and libertarians to come their direction and they openly catered to them. The left is outright blaming them for losing the election even with the irony that 9% of registered Democrats voted for Trump and that's the main reason it cost them the election. I'm personally in the left leaning libertarian camp or right leaning classical liberal (somewhere in there if I had to pick a label) and voted for Gary Johnson. They would think I voted for Hitler because I allowed Satan to get into office the way the Dems screech about third parties. The dismissal of the center as an ally is what is causing the shift to happen. If you aren't an identity politics progressive then you're evil. I'm already a straight white cis male so my original sin can not save me from voting correctly anyways I might as well vote my conscience.
