I might have a gf now. I also seem to have like 3 other girls pursuing me right now, but these things tend to be very transient and unevenly distributed over time. I might be close to having a large project done, but there is some uncertainty and I think a key stakeholder relationship may be somewhat wobbly at present. It's unclear. I'm about to take a nice vacation though.

Cook for yourself, cook stuff you want to eat. Say you want to cook a steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Go for it. The best way to learn is doing it. At the same time, watch youtube videos and absorb... just watching a standard pro chef like Gordon Ramsay cook will give you a general feel for things that would take forever to read.

Try things that you really would love but seem out of reach. For me, it was a good rack of barbecue ribs. Turned out to be the easiest thing in the world.

Also if you cook for yourself often, you will quickly bore of things that you've had regularly... you will experiment and branch out.

Another cool thing is to go to the store/market with no plan and to purchase things that strike you as potentially good or interesting.

try making stock, try braising meat, learn basic stuff like blanching vegetables, experiment with different fresh herbs and citrus and zests, try making pickles, just try try try all sorts of stuff. Have fun
