Should the OP of a thread be able to delete their own thread?
Sometimes shit gets derailed by shitposting and you just want to kill your own thread. It could potentially be a pass feature and/or have daily or hourly limits to minimize abuse.
Why was that option taken away in the first place
you can already do that, but only for a little while after making it
once it's been up for a while it'll say something about 'you can't delete a post this old' or something
>>45349
cant you still delete your thread?
>>45362
>Comments only
wrong
hang on
>>45366
>Error: You cannot delete this post.
wtf
i remember being able to delete threads like not even a month or two ago, when did they change this?
>>45367
eh at least you can still delete your own replys
>>45349
compromise,
OPs can delete their own threads, however, its leads to a different deletion page that makes it clear that it was deleted by the OP and not the janitor.
>>45367
Definitely been much longer than that.
>>45373
yeah that would be a lot better
>>45380
not really the same, people aren't actively in the thread all the time. They might just see it disappear off the catalog and then get mad at the janitor
Yes, it was retarded to take that ability away in the first place just because of /q/ bullshit.
>>45383
>people aren't actively in the thread all the time
with the autoupdate and obsession with (you)s
yes they are.
>>45402
autoupdate rarely works for me, i dont know about anyone else. I can leave it running and then I tab back and click "update" and voila, 5-10 minute old comments load even though the update timer just refreshed
>>45403
You're probably retarded, I'm pretty sure everyone uses autoupdate
>>45404
why would anyone use it if it rarely works?
>>45405
It works fine grandpa
>>45406
for you
>>45407
Glad we sorted that out
>>45408
auto-update fails me again
autoupdate works fine for me
i even have it set to auto tick auto update
