my big thing has to do with voting, living in an area that consistently gets misrepresented. I think we should have strict rules on voting in the US. People over a certain age should have their voting privileges revoked, because im sick of watching young people have no control over their future. also an IQ test should be mandatory to gain voting rights. Either make it pass/fail, or tier it. People below a certain threshold cant vote, or their vote counts less.

i'm socially liberal and i think environmental change exists so i don't believe in a free market.
also i'm nationalistic and pro allowing citizens to have fire arms, but i think our military is ridiculous (usa). i guess i'm a liberal but i dislike the democratic party a lot, as many of us do. a country as big as this will probably never be able to please even the majority of its citizens.

im a canadian social libertarian

socialist policies mixed with capitalism, and I do love my capitalism, I just finished getting my masters in economics

our current systems fucked as long as corporate-political corruption exists. we'd be paying much less taxes if loopholes and shit were eliminated. but social programs work and they need funding too. cut industrial subsidies, we're only in the shithole globally we are now cause they welfare'd the corporations and now everyones in bed with each other nationally, basically like a domino effect when anything goes wrong

as a canadian I wanted to support the ndp but they ignored their tremendous lead by trying to appeal to the right wing, handing the election to the liberals. Party system doesn't work, first past the post definitely doesn't work. splitting the vote should not be a thing and is easily remedied but political lawyers are bought out completely

I don't think nationalism is the answer, but a global uprising against the financial elite would make an enormous difference. education is key, todays youth is the most educated ever. they will not put up with this shit.

Modern humans aren't compatible with anarcho-capitalism either.
For example, community of humans can't be trusted not to wreck their environment for personal gain. We struggle to have sensible enforcement even with government involvement.If we surrender the ability to elect officials for oversight in the interest of public good, we lose all leverage on parties with influence but without empathy and foresight. I hate labels. I'm fully aware that that's a super edgy thing to say but I honestly find it hard to say I lean to one 'side' more than the other. That's not to say I'm centrist either. I have several beliefs that would drastically fall in the Authoritarian right while I have others that are staunchly Libertarian and left. I suppose I trend more towards the right very slightly, but I think things are more complicated then the extremes of 'Throw marxists out of helicopters' versus 'give everyone everything and then smoke weed'. At the same time I'm pretty disapproving of people that aren't convicted and float around in the middle.

I originally was in the purple zone by the time I graduated High School but dealing with god awful leftist in Uni made me go more right wing than I could ever imagine. Plus I have eternal hatred for Communism since my family is from Cuba.

I have to sit down for maybe a week and educate myself on many of the issues because I don't really know myself. I know that I have opinions but they are mostly poorly supported by logical or moral reasoning.
