I like the idea, but the implementation is bad.
It's still not clear enough the smug one has a logo/pass. The logo isn't on screen for long enough compared to the faces.
Try still images instead of a scroll at least, to cut off the parts where it doesn't show face nor logo, maybe with a larger angle at some point to show body language of smug/sad.

Or try reversing it, to show the faces first, then explain it by showing one has a pass.

Or use a different image altogether.
