Yeah, they just banned me from /v/ for critiquing a Nintendo game.

I said no voice chat wasn't acceptable and got the hammer.

Literally banned for having an opinion against their sacred Nintendo.

Was also banned a few weeks ago for saying hi to Barneyfag. I guess that's off-topic.

So many key aspects of a game's design can't be done the same way with a third person camera, like
>Heightened immersion/being the character
>Hiding the player characters, aka you don't know if you're playing as character x or y
>Unobstructed viewing field
>Realistic/balanced camera view (NOT being able to take full cover behind a wall while simultaneously seeing everything past it)

There are advantages to both styles of shooter, first, third, sidescrolling, or top down. Blamming the whole genre is pretty ridiculous of you and sounds pretty fanboyish, although it all boils down to how you worded it. I imagine you were really distraught and mentioned some exclusives or whatever.
